Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June: 10.30am-4.30pm
Deciding that you would like to express yourself through writing is, hopefully, the beginning of a long, interesting and rewarding journey. It can also be somewhat daunting to set out on your own. This course will be ideal for anyone starting out and looking for a structured yet informal workshop with helpful advice and constructive criticism along with feedback from their fellow writers.
The workshop will help you develop your writing skills and your understanding of the creative process. Whether you write fiction, poetry or prose we will look at what you want to write and how best to write it. The course will cover the basics of form, plot, character, narrative and dialogue. There will also be selected writing exercises to get your momentum going and push your work on to the next stage.
